About Nathan
Architectural Knowledge. Real Estate Judgment.
I’ve spent my life studying buildings and how they work. I studied architecture in school, earned a degree in Architectural Engineering, and practiced structural engineering for 23 years. But it started earlier and runs deeper than the credentials: I grew up remodeling, I’ve remodeled my own homes, and I’ve split and developed my own property. I bring all of it to every home. I was named among Oregon’s ‘Top 10 Agents You Can Trust’ (Social News XYZ, 2026, via Apple News). I read homes the way an engineer does and advocate the way clients wish every agent would. Licensed in Oregon and Washington, Keller Williams Portland Central.
THE STAKES
For most people, a home is the largest financial decision of their life. It’s also the only one routinely made in nine days of adrenaline, with the biggest numbers they’ve ever signed next to, advised by whoever answered the phone.
I think the size of the decision should set the standard of the advice. So here is mine, in one paragraph: I’ll tell you what the building actually is, in plain language, before you’re committed to it. I’ll price from evidence and show you the math. I’ll protect the deadlines that protect your money. And when the right answer is walk away, I’ll say so, because my clients can tell you I have. The transaction is temporary. The decision is yours for years. I advise for the years.

From structures to transactions
Nathan’s path to real estate began with architecture and structural engineering, learning to read buildings as systems, identify risk, and communicate technical decisions clearly. That background became the foundation for a different kind of real estate practice: one where clients understand the property, the tradeoffs, and the negotiation before they make a commitment. Today, he combines engineering discipline with local market knowledge to help buyers and sellers move forward with confidence.

One hour, unscripted
A friend interviewed Nathan blind (no prepared questions, no script, no retakes) about how he actually works: showings, pricing, negotiation, and everything in between. If you want to know what working with him is like before you ever call, start here.
Beyond transactions
Nathan wrote about affordable housing for the Portland Business Journal and continues researching how land, construction, permitting, infrastructure, financing, and time shape housing costs.

Beyond the inspection report
Away from real estate, Nathan is usually playing tennis or golf, skiing with his son, planning a trip, spending time with family, or negotiating household authority with a distinctly quirky Corgi. (He climbed up there himself & got stuck)
More on that side of life (the tennis, the housing writing, the club) lives here.
